This morning Pastor Rob taught on the difference in offerings from Cain and Abel found in Genesis 4. While the offering was not a priority at all for Cain, Abel brought his best to God – his first to God, withheld nothing from Him, and trusted God to provide for him.
Only when we believe that God really is as kind, loving, and as generous as He says He is will we then be able to make a sacrifice that significant.
God doesn’t need our money, but he asks us to give because we need to have a radical, deep, dependence, and trust in God as our unbelievably generous provider.
